My name is Helena, and I am a twenty-something year old currently living and doing a PhD in Cambridge.
This blog started about two years ago and I've not been very good about keeping it up to date: I don't post for months at a time; but I really do enjoy having it and having the opportunity to just write whatever I'm thinking on here. I have about as many published post as unpublished, and that is a good thing (I always think I'll pick them up later but rarely do. When I do the result is usually satisfying (at least to me). I mostly post about my opinions and my feelings and my life (yes, I can be quite self centered) and occasionally post about science, books I've been reading or films I like.
The title of the blog ("The Little Black Notebook") is a reference to the Moleskine ® notebooks I write in. I have several, not all of them black, but my favourites are the hardcover, black A5 sized ones. They have a little pocket in the back, and they are gorgeous. Many writers say they write because they need to, I happily admit I sometimes write because I love using these notebooks.
